Precautions

Directions for use

1. Insert the needle in the cavity that needs to be drained, without any preliminary incision. Verify that the blue plug, attached to the spring connected to the internal cannula, is back in the relaxed position. This indicates that the internal cannula is protecting the cavity tissue from any inadvertent tissue penetration during the procedure. If the blue plug starts moving towards the spring, the in - ternal cannula is receding, thus exposing the patient to the cutting edge of the needle.

2. Move the stop cock to the position where the needle is connected to the syringe. Pull on the syringe plunger to aspirate.

3. Connect the syringe to the disposable bag by moving the stop cock. Depress the plunger to empty the syringe. If necessary, repeat the operation until all the liquid has been drained.
